AEM as a Cloud Service: Publish unavailable in Assets-only programs

Publish and Preview do not always appear in Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service programs configured as Assets only. To confirm that the environment is working as designed, review the program type in Cloud Manager. If the program is listed as Assets only, the absence of Publish and Preview is expected and no additional action is required.

Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (all versions)

Issue/Symptoms

Publish is missing in all environments in an Assets-only program. Preview is also not available.

Resolution resolution

To verify program type:

  1. Log in to Cloud Manager.
  2. Open the program.
  3. Check the program type.
  4. Verify that the program is listed as Assets only.
  5. Verify that Publish and Preview are not available.
  6. Verify that no additional action is required.

Cause

Assets-only programs are intentionally provisioned without Publish or Preview environments. This is expected behavior and not a misconfiguration.
