Scan & OCR

Keep business moving forward by converting scans or images of documents into searchable, editable PDF files.

To OCR multiple PDF files, try using the Action Wizard.
  1. Select Scan & OCR from the Tools center or right-hand pane.

  2. Select a file.

    This file could be a photo of a document, or an already scanned file created using a scanner or the Adobe Scan mobile app. Or, you can scan a document to create a new file using a connected scanner.

  3. Choose Scanned Document or Camera Image to enhance the document.

  4. Select Enhance to clean up the image.

    Acrobat automatically recognizes text from scanned documents.

  5. Select Recognize Text to manually recognize text on image files.

The file is now a searchable, editable PDF file.
