MDVA-33382 patch: invalidated indexers

The MDVA-33382 patch solves the issue when indexers are invalidated after adding, removing, or reordering products in a category. The indexers that are invalidated are catalog_category_product , catalogsearch_fulltext (and their dependents).

This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.0.14 is installed. Please note that the issue will be fixed in Adobe Commerce version 2.4.3.

Affected products and versions

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version: Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure 2.3.4-p2

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions: Adobe Commerce on cloud infrastructure and Adobe Commerce on-premises 2.3.0 - 2.4.1

NOTE
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the Quality Patches Tool: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Set all indices indexer modes to Update on schedule.
  2. Remove a product from a category edit page.
  3. Save the category.
  4. Verify indices status either in backend or in CLI.

Expected results:

The following indices are not invalidated: catalog_category_product , catalogsearch_fulltext (and their dependents), as expected.

Actual results:

The following indices are invalidated: catalog_category_product , catalogsearch_fulltext (and their dependents).
