Manage dynamic ad templates

Create a separate ad template for each combination of ad type (static HTML5 or dynamic HTML5) and ad size by uploading a zipped HTML5 file with the desired ad format. For dynamic HTML5 ads, you also upload a file containing the ad attributes.

Create a dynamic ad template

NOTE
You can also upload a dynamic ad template when you add dynamic creatives to a creative library. Any ad templates you create there become available within the Ad Templates view for future use.

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Ad Templates.

  2. In the upper right, click Create Ad Template

  3. Specify the ad template settings

  4. Click Create.

Edit a dynamic ad template

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Ad Templates.

  2. Hold the cursor over the ad template row and click Edit.

  3. Edit the ad template settings.

  4. Click Save.

Download a dynamic ad template

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Ad Templates.

  2. Hold the cursor over the ad template row and click Download.

    The file is downloaded according to your browser’s normal procedure.

Delete a dynamic ad template

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Ad Templates.

  2. Hold the cursor over the ad template row and click Delete.

  3. In the confirmation message, click Delete.

Create dynamic ads from an ad template

NOTE
You can also add dynamic creatives to a creative library from within a creative library.

  1. In the main menu, click Creative > Ad Templates.

  2. Hold the cursor over the ad template row and click Create Dynamic Ad.

    In the New Dynamic Ad screen, the Ad Template Size, Ad Template Type, and Ad Template fields are automatically selected and read-only.

  3. Specify the dynamic ad settings to create the dynamic ads.

Ad template details

Advertiser: (Read-only for existing templates) The advertiser for which ads will be generated.

Ad Template Name: A unique ad template name for the advertiser.

Ad Template Type: (Read-only for existing templates) The ad template format: Static HTML5 or Dynamic HTML5.

Ad Template Size: (Read-only for existing templates) The dimensions of the ads created by the template.

Description: (Optional) Information that’s helpful to anyone using the ad template.

HTML5 zip

A zipped HTML5 file with the desired ad format. If you already uploaded a file, the filename is listed.

See the HTML5 creative specification.

To upload a file:

  1. Click Upload HTML5 zip.

  2. Locate the file on your device or network.
