Adobe Journey Optimizer is releasing a new feature, Inline authoring, which allows you to create and author your messages directly from a journey. For more on this new feature, refer to this page.
If you have users assigned to the Message Manager product profile only, without the Journey manager product profile, you will need to assign a new product profile for them to be able to continue editing content.

After July 25th, Permissions related to Messages will still be available since Messages can still be accessed to enable transition and you can still save them as template.
As of September 6th, Permissions related to Messages will be removed and Messages will not be accessible anymore.
The Journey Administrator product profile allows the administration menus with the possibility to manage and publish Journeys and Decision management.
This product profile includes the following permissions:
Manage journeys: read, create, edit, and delete journeys.
Publish journeys: publish journeys.
Manage journeys events, data sources and actions: read, create, edit, and delete events, sources or actions.
View journeys report: read and edit journeys report.
Manage subdomains delegation: read, create, edit, and delete subdomain delegation.
Manage IP pools: read, create, edit, and delete ip pool.
Manage PTR records: read and edit PTR records.
View PTR records: read-only access to PTR records.
Manage messages general settings: read, create, edit, and delete message general settings.
Manage channel surfaces: read, create, edit, and delete content branding.
