What’s new - Cloud Manager cloud-manager-whats-new

  • Cloud Manager now supports a Wipe option for Content Copy imports

When you enable Wipe, Cloud Manager deletes the existing content at the destination before starting the import, so you can start from a clean slate and avoid conflicts with pre-existing content. If you leave Wipe disabled, Cloud Manager imports the new content on top of the existing destination content. A confirmation prompt appears before the wipe begins, and Cloud Manager logs the wipe action and import details for traceability.

    See also Copy content.

  • Support for UI extensibility in AEM Experience Hub
Support for UI Extensions in AEM Experience Hub is now enabled, letting developers extend the interface with custom functionality and widgets built using Adobe App Builder.

To learn more, see AEM Experience Hub.

  • Improved stability, performance, and reliability

The following opportunities are currently available:

Cloud Manager MCP server for AI-powered IDEs mcp-server-for-cm

You can now try an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that exposes Cloud Manager Public APIs as tools for AI-enabled IDEs (such as Cursor). After you connect it, you can use conversational prompts to list and manage programs, pipelines, environments, and repositories, helping you move faster without leaving your editor.

See the documentation Use MCP with AEM as a Cloud Service.

See the tutorial Cloud Manager MCP Server.

Faster builds with module caching quick-build-cm-pipelines

A new build model compiles only changed modules (rather than the entire repo) using module-level caching to shorten build times. It applies to code-quality, full-stack, and stage-only pipelines.

Edit Non-Production Pipeline dialog box showing the two Build Strategy options which are Full Build and Smart Build.

In the Add/Edit Pipeline dialog box, under the Source Code tab, a new Build Strategy section lets you choose one of the following build options:

  • Full Build — builds all modules in the repository on every run.
  • Smart Build — builds only modules that changed since the last commit, which shortens overall build time.

You control which pipelines use Smart build. During the beta, this option appears only for Code Quality and Dev Deployment pipelines.

Bug fixes bug-fixes

  • Resolved an issue where the Restore Points API could return a 500 error when retrieving restore points. The endpoint now handles null values correctly, ensuring consistent and reliable responses. (CMGR-72963)
  • Cloud Manager now accepts GitHub repository URLs with or without the .git suffix, aligning API behavior with the UI and making repository onboarding more flexible. (CMGR-73296)
  • Product profile name validation is now case-insensitive, preventing errors when creating profiles with names that differ only by capitalization. (CMGR-74075)
  • You can now perform multiple restore operations from the same pipeline execution, enabling sequential restores for environments such as Stage and Production without requiring a new pipeline run. (CMGR-73538)
