Add custom page

Learn how to add custom pages to your PDF using the integrated Adobe Express app, which offers thousands of templates to choose from. This video tutorial uses the new workspace experience.

In this video, we’re going to take a look at another new feature in Adobe Acrobat, adding a custom page. Before we get into that, I want you to take a look at this page for Adobe Express. Now, if you’re not familiar with Adobe Express, or if you think, yes, it sure looks a lot like used to be called Adobe Spark, but Adobe has rebranded it, and they’ve added so much more to Adobe Spark. So you can see quickly that you can create projects, there are actions that you can perform on images and objects. There are an endless number of templates, Instagram stories, goes on and on and on. And in Acrobat, what I want to do is go to All Tools, and we’re going to go here to Add Custom Page. So it says, Select File. I’m going to open up this pretty boring employee handbook. Notice that the window is changing, it’s looking more like Adobe Express, in fact, we now have the Express logo in the upper left corner, and we have a number of different covers here. So, for the sake of time, I’m just going to choose this one. Of course, it has nothing to do with the rest of the document, but that’s okay. Now we can start with this image and add objects to it, modify the existing objects, and create something custom without starting from scratch. Let’s take a look at colors for a moment. Let’s say that we want to work from a more classic palette of colors. So I’m going to click there. I’m not that fond of that configuration, so let’s shuffle. There we go, that looks nice.

That’s not so bad. So notice that we can shuffle through these swatches, and each individual swatch can also be modified. For example, if I don’t really like that green background, maybe I want to change it a little bit, we can just go like that. Now that we’ve adjusted our colors, I want to add the Altura logo to the corner of the page. So to do that, I’m going to go into Libraries, and you’ll notice under my libraries, I have this gigantic list of CC libraries that I’ve been storing away for a while. And the one that I’m looking for is the Altura Technology, here we go, Brand.

And here it is. To place that on the page, all I do is click, it’ll come in a little fuzzy at first, and then it will sharpen. There it is. So I’m just going to reduce the size a bit, and let’s find a good place for it.

And maybe it goes up there.

For now, that’s fine. We can do a lot more, but at the moment, that’s really all I need. So I want to now add this page to the existing document that we already saw. So I’m going to click the Add button. Acrobat’s going to save the page.

Now here was the previous cover, we could either keep that or delete it. I think I’ll delete it.
