fromString

Loads the contents of a character string in the buffer. 


            fromString (string [, codepage ])

Parameters

string

The character string.

codepage

Code page used to serialise the string in the buffer. This optional parameter lets you specify character encoding. For example:
  • iso-8859-1
  • utf-8
  • utf-16
  • us-ascii
  • shift-jis
  • euc-kr

None.
