Delete a template task

You can delete a template tasks if it is no longer needed. Project tasks created from the template task are not deleted or modified.

NOTE
Deleted template tasks cannot be recovered. You can recover a template which also recovers all the tasks on the template. If you delete template tasks (and not the template), you can never recover them.

Delete a template task

You can delete one or several template tasks, in bulk.

  1. Click the Main Menu icon Main Menu in the upper-right corner of Adobe Workfront, or (if available), click the Main Menu icon Main Menu in the upper-left corner, then click Templates.

  2. Click the name of a template to open it.

  3. Click Template Tasks in the left panel.

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Click the name of a template task in the list to open the template task > click the More menu More menu > Delete Template Task.
    • Select one or several template tasks in the list > Delete icon Delete icon .

    The Delete Template Task box opens.

  5. Click Yes, Delete It to confirm.

    The template tasks are deleted and cannot be recovered.

TIP
You can click the Predecessors or Subtasks sections in the left panel of a template task to delete a predecessor or a subtask.
Repeat the steps above to delete template task predecessors or subtasks.
