Paste images from the Clipboard

You can add an image file to Adobe Workfront by copying it and pasting it from the system clipboard on your workstation.

Browser requirements for pasting from the Clipboard

This feature is browser-specific, as follows:

  • Chrome: Supports image files, as well as renders the first page of PDFs.
  • Firefox: Supports only screenshots.
  • Edge: Supports image files.
  • Safari: This functionality is not supported.

You must have the following:

Adobe Workfront plan*Any
Adobe Workfront licenses*Review or higher
Access level configurations*

Edit access to Documents

Note: If you still don't have access, ask your Workfront administrator if they set additional restrictions in your access level. For information on how a Workfront administrator can modify your access level, see Create or modify custom access levels.

Object permissions

View access to the object you are associating with the document

*To find out what plan, license type, or access you have, contact your Workfront administrator.

Paste from the Clipboard

To add an image or screenshot to Workfront via the clipboard:

  1. On your workstation, copy an image or screen shot to the system clipboard.

    For example, right-click on a browser image and select Copy Image, or copy an image from an image application such as Photoshop or SnagIt.

  2. In Workfront, Go to the Documents area where you want to add the image.

  3. Click Add New  > Paste from Clipboard.

    NOTE
    If you are using the Internet Explorer or Safari browser, Paste from Clipboard is not supported, and displays as dimmed in the Add Document drop-down menu.

  4. In the Paste from Clipboard box that appears, do either of the following, depending on your operating system:

    • Windows: Press CTRL+V.
    • Mac:  Press Command+V

  5. To add additional images, repeat step 1 to copy another image, then paste the image to the Paste from Clipboard dialog box as described in Step 4.

    Each image you paste into the dialog box is added as a separate file.

  6. Click Done.
