Adobe Workfront for Salesforce overview

IMPORTANT
To deliver more stable and scalable integrations, we’re shifting to a modern, flexible integration approach using Workfront Automation and Integration (Fusion). As part of this transition process, the Workfront for Salesforce integration will not be available after  February 28, 2026.
We recommend using Workfront Automation and Integration for your organization’s integration needs with Salesforce.
For an overview of Workfront Automation and Integration, see Adobe Workfront Fusion overview.
For information about the specific capabilities of the Workfront Automation and Integration modules for Salesforce, see Salesforce modules.

You can install Adobe Workfront for Salesforce to allow your Salesforce users to submit Workfront requests and automatically create projects without ever leaving Salesforce.

As a Workfront administrator, you can download and configure Workfront for Salesforce. Then, you can share it with all other Salesforce users.

For more information about installing Workfront for Salesforce, see Install Adobe Workfront for Salesforce.

For more information about configuring the Workfront section in Salesforce for all users, see Configure the Adobe Workfront section for Salesforce users.

Workfront for Salesforce

You can do the following when using Workfront for Salesforce:

Consider the following when working with Workfront for Salesforce:

  • We support both the Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience frameworks.

  • Items can be created only from Salesforce to Workfront.

  • You can view some information about the Workfront items in Salesforce. This information cannot be customized.

For a list of Workfront fields that you can view from Salesforce, see Submit Adobe Workfront requests from Salesforce objects and Create Adobe Workfront projects from Salesforce objects.

  • You can directly access items linked to Salesforce by clicking the Go to Salesforce link from Workfront.

You cannot view any information about the Salesforce items in Workfront, but there’s a link in Workfront that takes you to the item in Salesforce so you can review it there.

The Go to Salesforce link displays in the following areas:

    • The Details section of a project or an issue.

    • The header of a project or an issue.

Your system or group administrator must add the Integrations field to your Layout Template to view the Go to Salesforce link in the project or issue header.

    • The Summary panel of an issue when selecting the issue in a list, after clicking Open Summary Summary panel icon in the list’s toolbar.

      note note
      NOTE
The Go to Salesforce link is visible to all Workfront users who can view the project or the issue. You must have a Salesforce account to be able to go to the Salesforce Opportunity or Account where the issue was logged.
  • Updating fields on one item in one application does not update any information on linked items in the other application.
