Upload a Basic Proof

  1. Click the Menu icon in the top-right corner, then select Work List. You can also use the menu to navigate to parent objects.

  2. Go to the work item where you want to upload a proof.

  3. Click the Document icon Document icon in the navigation bar.

  4. Click New File near the bottom of the plugin.

  5. Enable the Create a proof toggle.

  6. (Optional) Type a name for the proof in the Proof Name text box.

  7. In the Proof Approvals section, select Basic.

  8. (Optional) Add approvers.

  9. (Optional) Type a comment in the Updates area.

  10. Choose the Asset Type from the drop-down menu.

  11. (Optional) Select Add outside file to add a file from your computer.

  12. Click Upload, then configure any desired export options based on the asset type chosen above.

    The document appears in the Documents area in the plugin and the desktop app.

Upload an Automated Proof

  1. Click the Menu icon in the top-right corner, then select Work List. You can also use the menu to navigate to parent objects.

  2. Go to the work item where you want to upload a proof.

  3. Click the Document icon Document icon in the navigation bar.

  4. Click New File near the bottom of the plugin.

  5. Enable the Create a proof toggle.

  6. (Optional) Type a name for the proof in the Proof Name text box.

  7. In the Proof Approvals section, select Automated.

  8. (Optional) In the Workflow Template box, type the name of a proof workflow template.

    1. Toggle Select all to disable all stages.

      Or

    2. Toggle individual stages.

    Add recipients
    1. In the Add new recipient box, begin typing the user's name.
    2. Specify the Proof Role.
    3. Choose the type of email alerts for the recipient.
    Set a deadline
    1. Choose a deadline.
    Email notifications
    Notify recipients about the proof
    1. Enable the checkbox to notify users when the proof is created.
    Add a custom message
    1. Type a subject.
    2. Type the custom message.
NOTE
If there are any blank required fields in the workflow template, the automated proof settings open automatically, and you are required to populate those fields in order to upload the proof.
  1. (Optional) Type a comment in the Updates area.

  2. Choose the Asset Type from the drop-down menu.

  3. (Optional) Select Add outside file to add a file from your computer.

  4. Click Upload, then configure any desired export options based on the asset type chosen above.
    The document appears in the Documents area in the plugin and the desktop app.

Upload a new proof version

You can upload a new version of a proof. The plugin remembers the proofing workflow set on the previous version, but you can change this if you wish.

  1. Click the Menu icon in the top-right corner, then select Work List. You can also use the menu to navigate to parent objects.

  2. Go to the work item you need to upload a document to.

  3. Click the Document icon Document icon in the navigation bar.

  4. Click New Version near the bottom of the plugin.

  5. Enable the Create a proof toggle.

  6. In the Proof approvals section, choose Basic or Automated.

  7. Add Reviewers or a Workflow template based on the approval type you selected in step 7.

  8. (Optional) Type a comment in the Updates area.

  9. Choose the Asset Type from the drop-down menu.

  10. Click Upload, then configure any desired export options based on the asset type chosen above.
    The document appears in the Documents area in the plugin and the desktop app.
