In this video, you will learn:

  • How to get more information by hovering over a chart
  • Create a timeframe on a chart
  • How to make additional charts appear
Transcript
There are three primary actions you can take when viewing the charts in the Analytics area. You can hover over a chart to gather more information in a small pop-up window. You can click and drag to create a marquee in a time frame. Or you can click into certain sections of charts to gather more information or make more charts appear. If I hover over a project in the flight plan, you can see the window that pops up giving me more information on the specific condition, the plan dates, and the plan duration. If I hover over a section of the project activity, I can see the date when task statuses were changed or tasks were completed. If I click and drag a marquee over a certain section of a project in the flight plan, you can see that I zoom into that area of the chart and then I’ve created a time frame filter at the top. To remove that time frame filter, I can click the X and return back to my previous view. Finally, if I click into a certain project on the flight plan or tree map, you’ll notice that the burn down chart and the tasks in flight charts appear. If I go to the people chart area and I click into a team, I can see specific members of that team and their individual activity for tasks being completed or statuses changed. Below this video, there’s more information on the hover, click and drag, and click in features.
