Review and approve digital work
The video explains how to review and approve digital work using the “Awaiting my approval” widget in the Home area. It covers five types of approvals:
- Project Approval: You can approve or reject directly in the Home area, with an option to add comments. For detailed review, click the project name to access its details. Approvals made within the project do not prompt for comments but allow optional commenting.
- Task Approval: Similar to project approval, you can review the task by clicking its name or directly approve/reject with a comment.
- Issue Approval: Works like task/project approval, with an option to skip approval without adding a comment.
- Proof Approval: Navigate to the proof to review and add specific comments. Approval options include “Approve,” “Approved with changes,” “Changes required,” or “Not relevant.”
- Document Approval: Documents without proofs can still be approved or rejected. If changes are needed, describe them in a comment, similar to “Approved with changes” in proof approval.
The video emphasizes flexibility in reviewing and approving work, with options to add comments and specify changes as needed.

You can find everything awaiting your approval in the Home area on the Awaiting my approval widget. We’ll go through each of these five different approvals to show you how you can review and approve each one. First is the Project Approval. You have the ability to approve or reject here in the Home area. Selecting either one will prompt you to add a comment that will appear in the Updates area of the project. But if you want to review it first, you should click on the project name. Now you’re taken to the project where you can review the task, the project details, custom forms, updates, or whatever. When you’re ready to make a decision, you can go back to Home or do it right here. The main difference is if you click Approve or Reject here, you won’t be prompted to make a comment. You can still add a comment, you’re just not reminded to. You can approve, reject, or recall. Click Pending Approval to see who is pending approval from. Next there is a Task Approval. Just like the project, you can click on the name to review it first. Maybe this time you already know that you want to reject it. So you just click here, put in a comment, and you’re done. An issue approval is similar to a task or a project approval. Click Skip to approve this one with no comment. For a proof approval, you’ll click on this link and go to the proof itself. Here you can add specific comments. Then click here when you’re ready to make a decision. Click Approve to approve the proof as it is. Approved with changes means changes are needed, but you don’t need to see it again after they’re made. Changes required means it’s not approved yet. Make the changes, then resubmit it for approval again. Not relevant would be used if you don’t think you should be approving this. A document that does not have a proof created can still be approved or rejected. If you choose Changes, you can describe the changes you want in a comment. Then it works like approved with changes in a proof.
