OpenPBR in Substance 3D Sampler
OpenPBR is an open, physically based surface shading model designed to provide a consistent and predictable way to describe materials across different 3D tools, renderers, and pipelines. It defines a single, comprehensive material model capable of representing a wide range of real-world surfaces, while remaining flexible enough to support more stylized or artist-driven looks using physically meaningful parameters.
In Substance 3D Sampler, it is possible to switch a material from the ASM material model to OpenPBR by going into the Channel settings.
It is also possible to export an ASM material to the OPenPBR material model or vice versa.
