Discover audience overlaps inside of Collaboration projects
Learn how to compare audience overlaps inside of Real-Time CDP Collaboration projects. For more information, visit the documentation.
In this video we want to dig down on projects a little bit and look at discovering overlaps in our project with our collaborating partner. So as you can see up here on the right at the top we are LUMA. That is our organization. We’re an advertiser and we are connected here in this project to FIT athletics. And we’ve set up this project and now that we’ve done that we can discover the overlap. So let’s click on that. And this gives us an opportunity to compare our audiences against our collaborators. So this helps us identify relevant audiences and you can see that even over here we use that terminology. And we find these audiences that are relevant for campaigns and we decide which ones to send to publishers or to our collaboration partners for activation.
So in the first audience insights section we have a compare audiences and irrelevant audiences. And so compare audiences you can kind of see this just by looking at it but it is comparing all of our audiences with all audiences from FIT athletics as well. So we can see you can this is a really good clue here that it is LUMA’s identity count here and how many overlapping identities we have between all audiences with FIT athletics and our overlap percentage there as well. And if you ever get stumped on these you can always look at these little information bubbles there and give you that idea.
You can see that the match key that we have set up is hashed email. So that is what we are using to get these overlapping identities. Now in this section you can also either select specific audiences. Let’s just say we want to go to gym enthusiasts. That is one of our audiences. So now we can see the identity count for gym enthusiasts as well as those overlapping identities with all of FIT athletics. And we can select specific ones there as well. So we can look at you know maybe high income. And when we do that we can see our identity count their identity count and the overlapping identities and of course the overlap percentage. The relevant audiences section here provides a curated list of the top five audiences based on the overlap percentage between your collaborators audience and all your audiences.
So this is one audience from FIT athletics and it is then overlap with all of your audiences. This is a great way to help you quickly identify the audiences with the highest overlap which lets you target your campaigns more effectively. Then you can switch between those top five just by paging through them right here. Then drop down to the discover overlaps here. And this does something very similar. It compares all of your audiences against each of your collaborators audiences. So you can change the audience right there as well if you want to or you can just you know look down through these and see how these overlap with all of your audiences. Anyway just you know one of our three modules up there and a great way to help you understand the overlap percentage and overlap count of identities with your collaborator. Good luck.
