Manage participant raised hand and reactions

As an Instructor, you can monitor learner reactions and manage raised hands to keep discussions organized and engaging. Instructors can also raise their own hands and send reactions during a session.

View the participant reactions

Learner reactions provide quick, non-verbal feedback during a session and help you gauge engagement without interrupting the discussion.

  • Reactions appear as visual overlays in the session.

  • When multiple reactions are sent, they display one after another.

  • Reactions are temporary and disappear automatically after a short time.

  • Use reactions to quickly understand learner responses and participation levels.

Lower a raised hand

If a learner’s question has been addressed or no longer requires attention, you can lower their raised hand.

  1. Select open-attendees-panel from the control bar.

  2. Navigate to the learner with the raised hand.

  3. Select the More options (⋯) icon next to the learner’s name.

  4. Select Lower hand.

The learner’s raised-hand indicator is removed immediately.

Lower all raised hands

When you have finished addressing learners’ questions, you can lower all raised hands to reset the attendee list before moving to the next topic or activity. This helps you identify new questions as they arise and keeps interactions organized.

To clear all raised hands at once:

  1. Select open-attendees-panel from the control bar.

  2. Select the More options (⋯) menu. The list with Attendees panel settings appears.

  3. Select Lower all hands.

All raised-hand indicators are removed from the attendees list.
