SEO audits

SEO audits in the Preflight readiness dashboard {align="center"}

The SEO category in Preflight groups the audits that evaluate how well a page is optimized for search engines. When you run a Preflight audit, these audits evaluate the page’s metadata, heading structure, links, and content, and surface opportunities you can review and resolve before publishing.

In the readiness dashboard, expand the SEO category to see each audit, whether it passed, and the number of opportunities it found. Select an audit to open its detail page and work through the opportunities. To learn how to interpret results and resolve opportunities, see Audit results in Preflight.

The SEO category includes the following audits:

  • Metatags – Reviews the page title and meta description tags.
  • Headings – Reviews the page’s heading structure and order.
  • H1 count – Reviews the number of H1 headings on the page.
  • Links – Reviews the links on the page.
  • Readability – Reviews how easy the page content is to read.
  • Canonical – Reviews the page’s canonical link.
  • Body size – Reviews the amount of body content on the page.
  • Lorem ipsum – Detects placeholder text left in the content.
