Let’s take a quick look at how AEM agents work, not by covering every agent or skill, but by showing a practical example of how you interact with agents through the AEM AI Assistant.

AEM has a growing set of agents with specialized skills, and when they work together, they can be incredibly powerful.

To illustrate, let’s say we’re launching a campaign for the Friscopa brand’s new dark roast coffee. Through the AEM AI Assistant, we can simply ask an agent to find approved images that fit the campaign. The agent returns a curated set of images in AEM assets that meet my criteria, along with helpful metadata.

Instead of digging through folders or second guessing usage rights, we can move straight to selecting the best image for the campaign. Once we find an image we like, we can immediately follow up and ask for a mobile optimized version of that asset in portrait layout.

This invokes a different agent that generates a variation of the specified image that is optimized for mobile. Notice how the agent smartly crops the coffee cup from the original landscape image for our mobile optimized portrait rendition.

So, as you can see, in just a few interactions, we’ve gone from asset discovery to the use mobile image. From here, we can download the mobile image or copy the image URL provided by the agent, and we’re off to the races. Now, I know this was a simple example, but it gives you a glimpse of how to engage with AEM agents and how they can revolutionize the way you work. In this scenario alone, we use two different skills from two different agents, and there are many more agents available, each with their own set of skills designed to optimize how you work. This invokes a different agent that generates a variation of the specified image that is optimized for mobile. Notice how the agent smartly crops the coffee cup from the original landscape image for our mobile optimized portrait rendition. So, as you can see, in just a few interactions, we’ve gone from asset discovery to a ready to use mobile image. So why wait? Start using your AEM agents today.
