Symptoms
If you reference more than 25 AEM resources, such as Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, pages, or assets, as instrumentation on a single page in Universal Editor, you might experience:
- Slower publish performance
- Timeouts
- Errors during the Publish action
Cause
Each referenced resource triggers backend processing when you click Publish. If a page references more than 25 resources, the system can become overloaded, which leads to degraded performance or errors.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Limit each page to 25 or fewer referenced AEM resources, such as Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, pages, or assets.
- Reduce the number of referenced resources if you notice slower publishing, timeouts, or errors when you click Publish.
- Distribute content across multiple pages, or reduce the number of instrumented resources per page, to stay within the limit.
- Review the Universal Editor release notes for updates to this limitation.
After you make these adjustments, click Publish again to verify the operation completes without errors.
