Flickering in the AEM Assets Properties window

This article explains how to resolve flickering in the Properties window when you access assets in AEM Assets before the 2026.07 feature release. To fix this, enable Unified Shell in the AEM Assets configuration, verify the Properties window, and contact Adobe Support if the flickering persists.

Issue/Symptoms

When you access the Properties window for assets in Adobe Experience Manager Assets, the window flickers.

Cause

The issue is caused by a user-interface problem that is addressed by enabling Unified Shell.

Resolution resolution

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Log in to Adobe Experience Manager Assets with administrative privileges.
  2. Navigate to Tools > Cloud Services and open Unified Shell Configuration.
  3. Enable Unified Shell according to your organization’s approved configuration procedure.
  4. Open the Properties window for an asset and verify that the flickering no longer occurs.
  5. If the flickering persists, capture a HAR file while reproducing the issue and provide it to Adobe Support for further investigation.

Note: Remove authentication data, session information, customer-specific URLs, and other sensitive information from the HAR file before sharing it.
