Inconsistent popup behavior in AEM Assets due to Unified Shell settings
In Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service – Assets, a UI issue causes popups in the Content Fragment List View to overlap with the header or top bar in production and development environments, but not in stage. This inconsistency stems from differences in Unified Shell settings across environments.
Description description
Environment
- Product: Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) as a Cloud Service - Assets
- Instance: Production, development, and stage
Issue/Symptoms
- When using the Content Fragment browser in List View, selecting a content fragment causes a popup to appear.
- In certain environments (such as production and development), this popup overlaps with the header of the List View or the top bar of AEM, obstructing navigation and usability.
- In the Stage environment, this behavior does not occur. The popup appears correctly without blocking any interface elements.
Cause
The discrepancy between environments is linked to differences in Unified Shell settings.
Resolution resolution
- Check if Unified Shell is enabled in your affected environments (such as production and development). If yes, disable it through your environment configuration settings.
- Test the Content Fragment browser functionality again to confirm that the popup no longer obstructs the header or top bar.
This workaround restores expected behavior for the Content Fragment browser interface across all environments.
Note: The issue has been logged internally as a bug and will be addressed in future updates.
