Additional typology rules unavailable in Adobe Campaign v8
In Adobe Campaign Classic v8, only Filtering, Control, and Offer presentation rule types appear when you create a new typology rule. Additional typology rule types, such as Pressure and Capacity rules, require the Campaign Optimization package. Installing this package enables these rule types in the Client Console. To fix this, request Adobe Support to install the Campaign Optimization package, then refresh or restart the Client Console.

- Constraints: Additional typology rule types are available only in the Client Console after you install the Campaign Optimization package. They aren’t available in the Web UI.
Issue/Symptoms
- Only Filtering, Control, and Offer presentation typology rule types appear when you create a new typology rule.
- Additional expected rule types, such as Pressure and Capacity, don’t appear as options.
Resolution resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
- Confirm that you’re using the Adobe Campaign Classic Client Console to create typology rules.
- Request Adobe Support to install the Campaign Optimization package on your instance.
- After the package is installed, restart or refresh the Client Console.
- Open the Typology Rule creation dialog in the Client Console.
- Verify that additional typology rule types, such as Pressure and Capacity, are available for selection.
Notes:
- The additional typology rule types enabled by the Campaign Optimization package are accessible only through the Client Console. They don’t appear in the Web UI.
- Test the functionality in a non-production environment before you install the package in production.
- Schedule the installation during a period of minimal activity to avoid disruptions.
