ACS AEM Commons menu and CSV exporter missing in AEM Assets
In Adobe Experience Manager Assets, the CSV Exporter is missing from the Tools menu due to unsupported ACS AEM Commons packages in Cloud Service environments. This blocks exporting user lists and reports from within AEM. To fix this issue, upgrade to a Cloud-compatible ACS AEM Commons version or use Adobe Admin Console export instead.
Description description
Environment
- Product: Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service – Assets
- Instance: ACS AEM Commons (legacy and current versions)
Issue/Symptoms
- ACS AEM Commons menu and CSV Exporter option missing from the Tools section in AEM Assets
- Accessing the previous exporter URL returns Resource not found
- Unable to export user lists or login reports from within AEM
Resolution resolution
Option 1: Upgrade to a Cloud-compatible ACS AEM Commons version
- Ensure the development team is involved, as this change may require code updates.
- Update the project to use at least ACS AEM Commons version
6.11.0(or later), specifying the classifier for Cloud Service compatibility. - Deploy the updated package through the standard Cloud Manager Maven project process.
- After deployment, check if Tools
>ACS AEM Commons appears in the author environment. - If the menu does not appear, remove any
/apps/cqfilter entry from theui.appsfilter configuration and redeploy. - Access Tools
>ACS AEM Commons>Exporters>Users to CSV Exporter to export user data. - Verify that you can now see and use the Users to CSV Exporter.
Option 2: Use Adobe Admin Console exports
- Go to Adobe Admin Console and navigate to Users
>Users. - Click Export users list to CSV.
- Open the exported file and filter by Product Configurations/Product Profiles relevant to the AEM as a Cloud Service instance.
- Review or report on user access as needed.
Notes:
- Legacy endpoints under
/etc/acs-commonsare not supported on AEM as a Cloud Service and may be removed during platform updates or deployments via Cloud Manager. - If using Option 1, consult the development team before making changes, as upgrading ACS AEM Commons could introduce code-level changes.
- The recommended approach for IMS-managed users is to use Adobe Admin Console exports for auditing purposes.
