ACS AEM Commons button not visible in AEMaaCS

In Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), installing ACS AEM Commons through the pom.xml file doesn’t display the expected menu under the Tools section. To resolve the issue, update the filter configuration to enable the menu visibility.

Issue/Symptoms

  • After installing ACS AEM Commons via pom.xml, the expected Tools menu doesn’t appear.
  • The same installation works correctly in the RDE environment using AIO CLI.

Resolution resolution

To make the ACS AEM Commons menu visible in AEM as a Cloud Service:

  1. Navigate to the ui.apps folder in your project structure.
  2. Open the filters.any file located within this folder.
  3. Remove the /apps/cq entry from the file.
  4. Save the changes and deploy the updated configuration to AEM.
