  • Starting with version 8.9.1, multilingual delivery in the Web UI is Generally Available (GA) for all customers, as per Web UI release notes.

Issue/Symptoms

  • The Add language button does not appear in the Web UI email builder.
  • The recipient schema includes a language attribute (out‑of‑the‑box or custom).
  • Multilingual delivery is documented, but the UI option is unavailable.
  • Customers are unable to create or test multilingual email variants (for example, EN, FR, or DE).

Cause

The Add language button in the Adobe Campaign v8 Web UI email builder depends on the presence of the Multi‑variant delivery package.
If the Multi‑variant package (internal name: nms:multivariant, label: Multi variant delivery package) is not installed, the multilingual UI controls are not enabled - even if:

  • The recipient schema includes a language field, and
  • Multilingual delivery is supported for the Campaign version.

  2. If the package is missing

    • Contact Adobe Supportand report that:

      • The Add language button is missing in the Campaign Web UI email builder.
      • Multilingual delivery is expected based on the product documentation.
      • The Multi‑variant delivery package (nms:multivariant) is not present in installed packages.

    • Adobe Support will complete the required internal checks and installation steps.

  3. Validate after package installation

    Once the package is confirmed as installed:

    1. Open a test email delivery in the Web UI email builder.

    2. Verify that:

      • The Add language button is now visible.
      • Multiple language variants can be added.

    3. Perform a basic validation:

      • Add at least two languages (for example, EN and FR).
      • Save and preview the email.
      • Optionally send a test delivery to confirm correct behavior.
