- Deleing a large number of profiles (for example, 3 million) with multiple identities (email hash, mobile hash, CRM ID, loyalty ID) across several datasets is complex.
- The UI supports only up to 10,000 identifiers per request file.
- The API supports up to 100,000 identifiers per request file.
- Multiple requests are required when deleting profiles across datasets and identities.
Resolution resolution
To delete large numbers of profiles in AEP:
- Use the Data Lifecycle feature to submit identifiers for deletion. The UI allows up to 10,000 identifiers per request, while the API supports up to 100,000 identifiers per request, enabling faster processing for bulk operations.
- If all profiles originate from the same dataset, delete the dataset directly. This automatically removes all associated profiles and is especially effective when profile sources are limited to a few datasets.
