Real-Time Customer Data Platform: Missing Profile Fragment Counts in Profile-Enabled Datasets

The columns,  New profile fragments and Existing profile fragments, may appear empty when viewing batches for a profile-enabled dataset in Real-Time Customer Data Platform. This is because the platform is designed to populate these metrics only for batch ingestions, not streaming ingestion.

Issue/Symptoms

In the list of batches for a profile-enabled dataset in RTCDP, the columns for New profile fragments  and Existing profile fragments  are empty. This occurs despite successful profile stitching and data ingestion.

Resolution resolution

This behavior is by design when using streaming ingestion. The New profile fragments  and Existing profile fragments  metrics are only calculated and displayed for batch ingestion. These columns aren’t populated for streaming siphon batches, even when data is successfully processed and added to the profile store.
