  • When attempting to delete or reconfigure a domain mapping, Domain is still in use. Please delete associated domain mapping first error appears.
  • Domain appears as Still in use  even after removal from visible configurations.
  • Unable to delete or remap the affected domain.
  • Error persists despite clearing cache or reviewing the domain settings.

Resolution resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the affected environment’s Domain Mappings section in AEM Cloud Manager and verify that the problematic domain has no active references.
  2. Remove references by checking both the Domain Mappings and Edge Delivery Sites sections, and deleting any residual references associated with the affected domain.
  3. Purge the CDN cache using AEM’s cache management tools. Refer to the CDN cache purge documentation and follow best practices to avoid disruptions in production environments.
  4. Contact Adobe Support if the issue persists due to stuck domain mappings in internal databases. The Engineering Team can manually update the internal database entries to reflect the correct deletion status.
