Branding of WebApps URLs in Campaign Classic
This article provides a solution to the question whether a URL can be modified/personalized to have a particular company’s name instead of Adobe servers, while still being hosted by Adobe servers.
Description description
Environment
Adobe Campaign Classic (ACC)
Issue
For WebApps, the content is hosted on Adobe servers, and the WebApp URLs look like this format:
https://adobeServer/webapp/otherValues
Can this URL be modified/personalized to have a particular company’s name instead of Adobe servers, while still being hosted by Adobe servers?
(Example: For emails, the mails are sent from Adobe server, but you can use subdomains like “brandA.com” or “brandB.com” by configuring CNAMES, etc.)
Resolution resolution
In Adobe Campaign Classic (ACC), web applications are published by default using the URLs defined in the Deployment wizard under the Access from the internet window.
If MID (Marketing Instance Delegation) is not enabled
Any subdomain that is properly delegated to the Marketing (MKT) instance can be used for web application URLs as long as it is configured in the Access from the Internet window of the Deployment wizard.
If MID is enabled
- The subdomain must be configured and mapped to the Marketing (MKT) instance by Adobe Support.
- This configuration cannot be performed through the Control Panel.
- After the subdomain is configured, update the URL in the Deployment wizard under Access from the internet.
