How to allow non-admin users to access Web Console | AEM

You can add groups and users to Apache Sling Web Console Security Provider to provide permission. Using a group including the users you want to provide access to Web Console is recommended.

Issue

This article explains how to allow non-admin users to access Web Console (OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) Console).

Resolution resolution

You can add groups and users to Apache Sling Web Console Security Provider to provide permission.

Using a group including the users you want to provide access to Web Console is recommended.

Follow below steps:

  1. Create a group and add users to it.
  2. Open Web Console > OSGi > Configuration (http://localhost:4502/system/console/configMgr).
  3. Go to Apache Sling Web Console Security Provider.
  4. Add the group to Group Names in the configuration.
  5. Save the configuration.
