Migrate Docusign templates

Learn how to seamlessly migrate Docusign templates and workflows to Acrobat Sign in three easy steps.

Transcript

If you have been a DocuSign customer in the past, we are providing a seamless way to migrate your templates to Acrobat Sign in three easy steps. First, downloading templates from DocuSign. Second, uploading the zip file. Third, start using custom workflows. For downloading the templates, you’ll need to log in to your DocuSign account and navigate to the templates tab, preferably in a new browser window. As an administrator, you have the option to choose all templates and view templates created by all the users in the account. You’ll then need to select one or all templates that need to be migrated. Once selected, a toolbar will be displayed that will have the option to download under the three dots. Once you click download, depending on the browser configuration, the selected templates will be saved as a zip file in the downloads folder or the folder of your choice. You’ll need to navigate back to Acrobat Sign to upload the above zip file using the select file button. If you are on the migration summary page, some of your peers have already attempted a migration. You can find the select file button by clicking start new migration. Once the uploaded zip file is validated, the admin can initiate the migration by clicking on start migration button. This will trigger our backend systems to convert DocuSign templates into Acrobat Sign workflows.

Although the terms used are different, Acrobat Sign custom workflows are more like DocuSign templates. The workflow consists of two parts, the signing order which defines the configuration, role, authentication, etc. for each participant in addition to the order they will sign, and the document which defines the file to be signed in addition to the form fields which in Acrobat Sign world is referenced as an agreement template. Once the migration is complete, we highly recommend reviewing each of the migrated workflows for the signing order and the agreement template. This can be done by clicking on the workflow to open an editor where you can navigate to especially the recipients and the documents tabs. The workflows are ready for use if marked active. By default, after migration all workflows are marked active and you’ll have the ability to deactivate to make any modifications if necessary. All users in the account will now have the ability to send an agreement using an Acrobat Sign workflow right from their homepage by clicking the start from library button and choosing workflows.
