Transcript
Standards have been developed to ensure that PDFs you create meet the necessary criteria for their intended use. PDF-A is an archiving standard, PDF-E is used in engineering, and PDF-X is used to exchange graphic content, such as sending files to printers and publishers. I need to send this PDF to a printer who has requested a PDF-X file. From the Tools panel, search for Standards. I’ll use the Save as PDF-X tool, which lets me save a file that conforms to that standard. Here’s another PDF sent to me by a coworker. I want to see if it already conforms to the PDF-X standard before I send it to the printer. When conformance to one of the PDF standards is detected, this icon is displayed in the navigation pane. Clicking this displays the detected standard. To verify this, I just click Verify Conformance and we’re good to go. This file is ready for the printer. And that was 60 Second Acrobat.
