Transcript
I’m going to show you a really useful Acrobat feature called Document Compare that will help me quickly determine what has changed in the new version of the contract. Here are two contracts, an original and a revised copy. From the Tools panel, I’ll search for compare. Then I’ll click this compare button and Acrobat goes to work comparing the two files, looking for differences in both text and appearance. Acrobat produces a detailed summary of the changes that it found, along with some statistics about the types of changes encountered. Then Acrobat walks me through each change that was discovered. In this case, each specific text change is highlighted, as well as this appearance change where the logo was added to page 3. Up here at the top, I can filter the type of changes that I want to see. For example, I might want to view only text changes or only changes in appearance. This is only a three-page PDF. Imagine how handy this would be to help find the differences in much longer, more complex documents. And that was 60 Second Acrobat.
