ACP2E-4540: The Fotorama library does not load correctly, so only the first attached image is visible

The ACP2E-4540 patch fixes the issue where the Fotorama library does not load correctly, causing only the first attached image to display. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.78 is installed. The patch ID is ACP2E-4540. Please note that this issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.9.

Issue

The Fotorama library fails to load correctly, which causes only the first attached image to be visible.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a simple product and attach multiple images to it.
  2. Open the product on the storefront.

Expected results:

The image gallery displays all attached images.

Actual results:

  1. Only the first image is visible.
  2. Browser console shows the following error:
Javascript error(severe) - http://magento.com/static/version1717863530/frontend/magento/luma/en_us/mage/gallery/gallery.js 309:29 uncaught type error: $fotorama element.fotorama is not a function
