ACSD-65164: Error message when reordering configurable product with a single checkbox custom option selected

The ACSD-65164 patch fixes the issue where the error message Some of the selected item options are not currently available occurs when reordering a configurable product with a single selected checkbox custom option. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.62 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-65164. Please note that this issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.8.

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.6-p8

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.6 - 2.4.7-p4
NOTE
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the Quality Patches Tool: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

When reordering a configurable product with a single selected checkbox custom option, the system returns an error message: Some of the selected item options are not currently available.

Steps to replicate:

  1. In the Admin Panel, go to Catalog > Products > Add Product > Simple Product.

  2. Under Customizable Options, add a Checkbox option.

    • Set the checkbox option as Required.
    • Add two option values.

  3. Navigate to the Storefront and log in as a registered customer.

  4. Add the product to the cart with one checkbox option selected.

  5. Go to the Cart > Proceed to Checkout > Place an Order.

  6. Go to My Account > Orders > Reorder to add the same product.

Expected Results:

The product should be added to the shopping cart successfully.

Actual Results:

An error message is displayed:

Could not add the product with SKU “24-MB01” to the shopping cart: Some of the selected item options are not currently available.
