Impact Measurement Engine

The Impact Measurement Engine validates whether an optimization deployed through Opportunity Workspace actually improved your AI visibility, turning a deployed recommendation into a measurable, verified outcome.

For supported opportunity types, such as Recover Content Visibility, Impact Measurement Engine automatically measures optimization performance and surfaces key outcomes in Opportunity Workspace. When an eligible optimization is deployed, Adobe Brand Visibility:

  1. Captures the baseline performance before deploying the optimization.
  2. Deploys the optimization to the selected URLs.
  3. Measures performance over a fixed evaluation period.
  4. Compares results before and after the optimization.
  5. Generates an impact analysis in Opportunity Workspace.

This workflow provides an end-to-end optimization experience-from recommendation through measurable impact-with minimal manual effort.

Frequently asked questions

How long do optimization measurements take?

Recover Content Visibility experiments typically complete in about two weeks. During this time, Impact Measurement Engine continuously evaluates the deployed optimization before generating the impact analysis.

How should I select URLs for optimization?

For meaningful results, we recommend including at least 20 URLs from the High Impact URLs filter in each deployment. The High Impact URLs filter identifies pages most likely to benefit from the optimization. For Recover Content Visibility, these are pages that AI agents struggle to read and that have sufficient agentic traffic for reliable measurement.

A larger sample size helps account for the natural variability of AI responses and produces more reliable results. For Trial customers, we recommend deploying the maximum 50 URLs in a single deployment when possible.

Do I have to use the High Impact URLs filter to deploy optimizations?

No. You can optimize any pages. However, deployments that include High Impact URLs are more likely to qualify for impact measurement and produce meaningful results.

How does Impact Measurement Engine measure optimization impact?

When you deploy a supported opportunity like Recover Content Visibility, Impact Measurement Engine automatically generates a dedicated set of measurement prompts tailored to the selected URLs. These prompts measure the current performance of the pages before they are optimized, and are then rerun throughout the post-optimization period to quantify changes in AI responses.

Where can I view the measurement prompts? Do these count towards my Prompt quota?

Measurement prompts used for the experiment are available in the corresponding Strategy within Opportunity Workspace. These prompts are created specifically for the experiment and remain active only during the measurement period.

To ensure an unbiased assessment, they are kept separate from your Prompt Library, do not count towards your Prompt quota, and automatically retire when the measurement period ends. This ensures your ongoing Brand Presence metrics remain unaffected by the experiments.

What kind of insights does Impact Measurement Engine provide?

For Recover Content Visibility deployments, Impact Measurement Engine primarily reports changes in Citation Rate and Content Visibility, along with additional insights such as top-performing URLs, newly cited URLs, and prompts that showed improved performance. These insights are available in the corresponding Strategy created in Opportunity Workspace.

Does the impact analysis provide insights on every URL in the deployment?

No. Every selected page is optimized, but Impact Measurement Engine can only measure pages with sufficient data to produce reliable results. The analysis uses a representative subset of your deployed URLs to reflect the overall optimization impact.

Could seasonality affect the analysis results?

No. Impact Measurement Engine evaluates a fixed set of measurement prompts before and after deployment, ensuring an apples-to-apples comparison. While seasonality may influence metrics such as website traffic or page popularity, it does not affect Citation Rate or Content Visibility improvements reported by the impact analysis.

Why don’t I see an impact analysis for my deployment?

Impact analysis is generated only for eligible deployments. To qualify, a deployment should:

  • Include at least 20 URLs from the High Impact URLs filter
  • Be for a supported opportunity, such as Recover Content Visibility.

If these criteria aren’t met, your pages are still optimized but an impact analysis may not be generated.

Can I edit my pages during the measurement period?

We recommend avoiding additional content changes to the pages included in the deployment during the measurement period. Keeping these pages unchanged helps ensure any measured improvement can be confidently attributed to the deployed optimization.
