Hello, this is Travis Saban with Adobe Analytics Product Management, and in this video I’m going to walk you through bot reporting in Analysis Workspace. Previously, bot reporting could only be done in reports and analytics, but now you can do bot reporting directly in Analysis Workspace and report on your bot data alongside the rest of your Analysis Workspace data. So to open up bots, we’ve created a new bots report here under the audience tab. This is a consolidation of the two reports and analytics bots reports, and now they are combined into a single bots report. Once you click on the bots report, you’ll be presented with this out-of-the-box report that has two panels, a bot traffic panel and a bot pages traffic panel. And this is again a combination of the two reports that existed in reports and analytics and built into one. So here within the report, there’s a couple things to note. First of all, we’ve created three new components, bot page views, bot occurrences, and bot name that are now available both in this out-of-the-box report, but also within your left rail throughout any of your other reports that you might be using. So you have those at your disposal. And these are coming in as summary data sources, and you’ll see each of them have these little yield signs that we have that we use for summary data sources indicating that this data is a summary data source and it cannot be used with anything other than the bot components that we’ve added or standard time dimensions such as day or week. So you can’t use these to do breakdowns or anything like that, but they can be reported on something side by side. So if you have page, which is a common one that works with bot page views, you can also use visits and things like that so you can compare those numbers side by side. But any other breakdowns or anything like that just won’t work. So we’ve got a nice overview here of your bot traffic. The bot traffic began processing end of February, beginning of March. So if you extend your reporting window before that, then you won’t be able to see any bot data prior to that time period. But we’ve done a few months of processing, so you’ve got a little bit of historical data that you can compare to. And then each of these panels has the new dynamic dropdowns in them. So if you are with the dynamic dropdowns now, you can change between the various bots if you’re trying to look at a specific bot and you want to see how it’s impacting your traffic, you can choose those and have it filter data. Given that your bots might be changing over time, we wanted to make it easy for you to always have the current bots that you’re looking at for your reporting window available to you without having to constantly rebuild a static dropdown. And so that’s why we’ve done these new dynamic dropdowns here for you. Now if you come in and you have not enabled bots previously, then you’ll get a little warning saying you must go and enable bots first before you’ll see any of this data. For anyone who has bots previously enabled from Reports and Analytics, this will show up for you automatically upon release. The way to know if this is working for you is to go to the Admin menu and under your Report Suites, you’ll get the Report Suite Manager. You can click on the Report Suite in question. You can click on Edit Settings and click on General and then Bot Rules. Within the Bot Rules under the Report Suite, you can see if you have IAB Bot Filtering Rules enabled. If you do not, this is the default rules that we apply for most bots. If this is unchecked, that means you do not have it enabled. Or if you have any custom rules that you have set, then we will respect those two. So you either need to check this box or add your own set of bot rules in order for bots to begin showing up here for you here in Workspace and specifically within this template. So if you have these already enabled, then you’re good to go. But if you have not, then you’ll have to go ahead and add them yourself. But this is a great way now to report on bot traffic directly in Analysis Workspace instead of just reports and analytics, which is going away very soon. So we’re excited about this new feature and hope that this can help streamline your reporting in Analysis Workspace. Thank you.
