Course Introduction

This module introduces the course and lays out the personalization goals. You learn how Experience Manager, Target, and Experience Platform work together to deliver personalized web experiences.

You learn how to connect Experience Manager author to Target, add tags and the web SDK for data collection, and retrieve personalized content from Experience Platform. You learn three personalization approaches: experimentation (A/B tests), behavioral targeting based on visitor actions, and known user personalization that rely on profile and order data. The module also shows the overall workflow and prerequisites, including access to Experience Manager as a Cloud Service, Target, and Experience Platform.
