A proof is automatically archived when it is not opened for 60 consecutive days. Archived proofs still display in the Document list the same way as it did prior to the proof being archived.
You must have the following access to perform the steps in this article:

Legacy plan: Select or Premium

*To find out what plan or proof access you have, contact your Workfront or Workfront Proof administrator.
Anyone, even guest reviewers, can restore an archived proof.
Go to the document that contains the archived proof that you want to access.
Click Open Proof.
A page is displayed, explaining that the proof has been archived.
Click Unarchive to unarchive the proof.
Refresh the browser, then click Proof again.
