You can manually change the status of a project.
You must have the following access to perform the steps in this article:

Access level configurations* | Edit access to Projects NOTE If you still don't have access, ask your Workfront administrator if they set additional restrictions in your access level. For information on how a Workfront administrator can modify your access level, see Create or modify custom access levels. |

*To find out what plan, license type, or access you have, contact your Workfront administrator.
Go to the project whose status you want to update.
In the project header, click the name of the status in the Status field, then select a new status.
Or
Click the More menu next to the name of the project and click Edit and select a new status in the Status field, then click Save.
The project status updates to the status you selected.
