ACSD-47054: Preview content slow as all stores reindex

The ACSD-47054 patch fixes the issue where a preview of the content staging takes longer to load when there are many stores. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.37 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-47054. Please note that the issue was fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.6.

Affected products and versions

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods): 2.4.2-p2, 2.4.5-p2

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods): 2.4.2 - 2.4.5-p4
NOTE

The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the Quality Patches Tool: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

The preview page takes a long time to load due to a reindex of all stores.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to the Commerce Admin.
  2. Create any scheduled update.
  3. Go to Content > Dashboard.
  4. Preview the scheduled update.
  5. Open any category.

Expected results:

The preview page loads within an acceptable amount of time.

Actual results:

Preview of the content staging is taking a long time.
