Certification journey for Adobe Experience Platform Expert

Learn how to become a certified Adobe Experience Platform Expert.

Minimum experience

To earn a certification with exam, you need to pass 2 distinct exams with a proctor present, online or on-site, where available.

You should have:

  • Basic knowledge of Experience Platform and can navigate through the UI
  • The ability to create segments and build audiences (logic included in that)
  • The ability to configure destinations
  • The ability to connect segments to destinations
  • The ability to build insights/events to respond and react in real time
  • The understanding of DULE set-up during data ingestion, segment limitation during activations
  • The understanding of opt-in requirements by channel
  • The ability to design/understand the data that needs to be captured and activated upon using best practices for use case data frequency and volume
  • The ability to understand data needed in different channels
  • The ability to determine what profile attributes are needed
  • Knowledge of frequency of sending segments out through destinations
  • Knowledge of how often segment membership is updated
NOTE

Your certification is valid for two years from when you pass. We recommend taking the newer version when possible, because it covers newer product capabilities.

Requirement 1: AD0-E600 Adobe Experience Platform Technical Foundations

The AD0-E600 exam validates skills and knowledge covering the basic features and frequently performed tasks of Adobe Experience Platform at the Expert level.

  • Analyze source data to evaluate primary and secondary identity for profile stitching
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how to use the UI to create/edit XDM Schemas.

Section 2: Data Ingestion (36%)

  • Demonstrate how to format and prepare data for ingestion
  • Demonstrate how to connect data sources using OOTB connectors
  • Demonstrate how to ingest source data via Batch and Streaming
  • Describe how to monitor data transfers
  • Demonstrate how to perform data discovery on source data
  • Demonstrate how to transform data to match XDM

Section 3: Unifying Profiles (34%)

  • Validate Profiles and Event data post ingestion
  • Define identity name spaces
  • Explain how identity graphs are used by profile service
  • Identify how to enrich profiles through data science workspace modeling services
  • Demonstrate how to build a segment with Segment Builder and how the segmentation service works

Section 4: Activation (10%)

  • Demonstrate how to set up a destination and how segment activation works
  • Demonstrate and understanding of data access API and exporting data via Real-Time CDP

  • Schedule, reschedule or cancel your exam. Please note that canceling and rescheduling must be initiated prior to 48 hours before the scheduled exam appointment. Candidates must modify this appointment themselves.

Requirement 2: AD7-E601 Adobe Real-Time CDP Technical Practitioner

The AD7-E601 exam covers the creation, management and understanding of customer profile, segmentation, destinations across sources, and other topics. The exam validates the foundational skills and knowledge needed to employ Real-time CDP for audience segmentation, destination exports, and activation on a real-time basis for unified profiles that adhere to data and privacy regulations. Candidates should have experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) and knowledge of Adobe Experience Platform.

Failure to have identical information or any mismatch will result in the proctor terminating the exam and will require you to reschedule your appointment in addition to paying an additional exam fee.*
