AEM Forms-Vorgänge können mit der stark typisierten AEM Forms-API ausgeführt werden, und der Verbindungsmodus sollte auf SOAP festgelegt werden.

Im folgenden Java-Code-Beispiel wird dynamisch ein DDX-Dokument erstellt, das ein PDF-Dokument zerlegt. Für jedes Lesezeichen der Ebene 1 im eingegebenen PDF-Dokument wird ein neues PDF-Dokument erstellt. Dieses Code-Beispiel enthält zwei benutzerdefinierte Methoden:
