ACSD-53704: Reward points balance history miscalculated after expiration

The ACSD-53704 patch fixes the issue where the reward points balance history is miscalculated after the reward points’ expiration date. This patch is available when the Quality Patches Tool (QPT) 1.1.39 is installed. The patch ID is ACSD-53704. Please note that the issue is scheduled to be fixed in Adobe Commerce 2.4.7.

Affected products and versions

The patch is created for Adobe Commerce version:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.5-p1

Compatible with Adobe Commerce versions:

  • Adobe Commerce (all deployment methods) 2.4.0 - 2.4.6-p3
NOTE
The patch might become applicable to other versions with new Quality Patches Tool releases. To check if the patch is compatible with your Adobe Commerce version, update the magento/quality-patches package to the latest version and check the compatibility on the Quality Patches Tool: Search for patches page. Use the patch ID as a search keyword to locate the patch.

Issue

The reward points balance history is miscalculated after the expiration date of the reward points.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a customer on the storefront.

  2. Add reward points for the customer with different expiration dates.

  3. Check the magento_reward_history table and set the expiration date for the latest record of reward points to a past date:

    UPDATE magento_reward_history SET expired_at_static = '2023-08-24 10:47:38' WHERE history_id = 3;

  4. Check the reward history grid in Admin > Customers > All Customers > Edit customer > Reward points > Reward Points History and Reward Points Balance.

Expected results:

The reward points balance only shows the unexpired points.

Actual results:

The reward points balance reflects the amount that includes the expired points.
