Resolve Session Limit Reached error in AEP Query Service

The Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Query Service uses a concurrent user session limit on a per-organization basis. When this limit is reached, you see a Session Limit Reached error. To fix this, review your licensing agreement, end unused sessions, or purchase an Ad Hoc Query Users Add-On Pack to increase the session limit.

Description description

Environment

  • Product: Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) - Query Service
  • Instance: Production or Development

Issue/Symptoms

The Query Service uses a concurrent user session limit on a per-organization basis. If this limit is exceeded, you see a Session Limit Reached error. This limitation impacts operations that require multiple simultaneous sessions, such as generating waterfall counts for high-priority campaigns.

Resolution resolution

The concurrent session limit depends on your organization’s entitlement and licensing agreement. To resolve this issue:

  • Review your organization’s licensing agreement to confirm the current session limit.
  • Purchase an Ad Hoc Query Users Add-On Pack to get five additional concurrent sessions. Contact your account team for details on this option.
  • Ensure existing sessions are properly ended when no longer needed to avoid hitting the session limit.

Note:

To see how to view active sessions, consult Manage Query Service sessions.

Concurrent Query Service and Data Distiller session limits are determined by your organization’s licensing entitlement.

The Query Service Admin tab provides visibility into available sessions and lets administrators manage active sessions.
