Reviewing a video with proofing In this video, you will learn how to Add timestamped comments to a video Adjust video viewer settings Videos play key roles in a variety of content produced by customers of Workfront, an Adobe company. Product demonstrations, testimonials embedded in a website, promotional videos included in emails, and more. As work on the related project progresses, you can review videos right in Workfront using the proofing tools. Videos open into the web-based proofing viewer. Start your review by clicking the play button on the video. You can pause the video whenever you want. Navigate forward and backward in the video by advancing frame by frame with the arrows icon. Or drag the slider along the timeline. When you’re ready to make a comment, you can just click the add comment button at the top of the window. This pauses the video and opens a comment box. If you prefer, you can pause the video before clicking add comment. Make your comment and use the markup tools to indicate where on the video frame you’re talking about. You’ll notice that the comment card includes a timestamp letting you and others know exactly when in the video your comment applies. In addition, a little marker appears on the timeline to let you know where the comments have been made. If you want to make a comment on a segment of the video using the slider to indicate the start and stop of the segment, just drag the pieces of the slider to the appropriate spot using the timestamp indicator to help you pick the right spot. The timestamp range is also recorded on the comment card. When you click a comment to open it, the video jumps to that spot in the playback. The video player offers some features to help optimize the experience. Full screen mode. See what your video looks like without the distractions of the header, footer, and side panels of the proofing viewer. Hit escape on your keyboard to go back to the normal viewing mode. Playback volume. Make sure you can hear what’s being said by adjusting the volume in the player. You’ll want to adjust the volume on your workstation too. Click the icon to mute the volume if desired. Video loop. Turn on the loop option when you want the video to automatically start playing again when it reaches the end. Playback speed. Slow things down or speed things up with the playback speed settings, which range from quarter speed to two times the normal speed. Time unit. The proof viewer’s default for the time unit is an hour, minute, seconds timestamp. The frame option counts the video frames, and the time code combines the two. Hours, minutes, seconds, frame. Once you’ve completed your review, you’re ready to complete your approval if requested and close out the proofing viewer.
