Business moves fast, which means you have to be able to do the same. There are hundreds of apps to help you do that. However, switching through multiple applications can create confusion and decrease your productivity. The work front for G Suite add-on makes finding, updating, and completing your work easier. With its simple design, you can access, manage, and update essential work without switching applications and easily convert emails into actionable work wherever you are. So let’s take a look. Emails are a fixture in our work culture because they provide important communication that helps you to get work done. And many times, those emails include action items to be completed by you. With work front for G Suite, those action items can go from sitting in your inbox to trackable work front items. For instance, an email from your boss asks you to draft a copy for a sales campaign. Now, you could communicate updates about the task with your boss, your coworkers, and other reviewers through long email threads. And then you could update and organize the copy versions through folders on your computer. And finally, you could track the hours you spent on the project in a spreadsheet. But why not make all of that simpler through the work front for G Suite add-on? You can convert the email into a work front task and simply track everything in one location. Converting an email into a work front task or issue is relatively easy. When you have the work front for G Suite add-on open but haven’t clicked on an email yet, you see a condensed version of work front home. From here, you can access and update work assigned to you. Click on an email and the work front for G Suite panel refreshes to show three options. Create new task, create new issue, and post as a new update. From there, select the create new task or create new issue option. The panel refreshes to show the subject line as the title and the body of the email as the description of the task. Those can be adjusted as needed. The only other field required to create your task is the project name. The remaining information, like assigned to, plan duration, and priority are not required, but it is recommended that you fill in these fields. Note, if the task is not assigned to you, it will not appear in your work front for G Suite panel. If files are attached to the email, you can attach those to the task by toggling on include email attachments. When done, click the create task button and the panel refreshes to show your new task. Note, you’ll know the task has been created when you see details, updates, and documents. This task, along with other work you’ve been assigned to, appears in the work front for G Suite panel. Work is initially sorted by the planned completion date, but this can be changed if needed. Now, even if you aren’t in a specific email, you have the ability to view and update work that shows in the work front for G Suite panel. And when you click the work item, you’re taken to the details area. Here, you can view the description, the status, the planned completion date, etc. of that task. You also have the ability to see any documents associated with the task. You can also see any updates as well. In addition to viewing all the updates and comments made on your work item, you can reply to a comment or make a new update. As well as tag other work front users who need to know about the update. Everything is tracked in work front and logged in the work front for G Suite panel for you to see. Work front object approvals, that’s projects, tasks, and issues, can also be done within the work front for G Suite add-on, as long as the approval email is in your inbox. Select the approval email, and the work front for G Suite panel refreshes to show the object’s details. You’ll also see the approve and reject buttons. You can click an option and send the decision on its way. All done without leaving your inbox. The work front for G Suite add-on lets you access, manage, and update essential work without switching applications and turn action-based emails into trackable work wherever you are. That way you can move at the speed of business to get work done right.
