Understanding Your Summary Sheet

What does the Summary sheet show?

The Summary sheet provides a high-level overview of your organization’s learning activity, including enrollments, completion and attendance metrics, learning modalities, product training, and certifications earned.

A quick reference for reading the Summary tab of your Learning Utilization Report. Numbers vary by account. This explains what each section means.

Q: What are the four numbers at the top (Total Enrollments, Active Learners, Completion Rate, Learning Hours)?

These are your headline KPIs — the fastest way to gauge program size and momentum.

NOTE
Completion Rate and Learning Hours only count training that has actually happened (delivered or self-paced), not classes still scheduled.

Q: What does the Enrollment Trends by Month table show?

Your enrollment activity over time, month by month, with % change. Use this to see whether engagement is growing, flat, or slowing down.

Q: What’s the difference between the Status Breakdown and the Completion Rate?

Status Breakdown (Completed / In Progress / Not Started) covers all enrollments, including ones that haven’t started yet. Completion Rate only counts classes learners have had a chance to finish.

Q: What does Class Delivery — Scheduled vs Delivered tell me?

Whether your enrollments have actually run yet. It splits everything into Delivered, In Progress, Scheduled, and Self-Paced — this is the basis for what counts as eligible in the completion math.

Q: Why is my Completion Rate lower/higher than I expected?

Check the Completion Rate — Delivered Training Only table. It only counts classes that have already happened and leaves out anything still scheduled or in progress.

Q: What does the Attendance table measure?

Only live/instructor-led classes (not self-paced) — did learners show up? It tracks Attended, Partial, No-Show, and the resulting drop-off rate.

NOTE
This drop-off rate is based on delivered sessions only and is a different calculation than any module-level attendance metric elsewhere in the report.

Q: What’s the difference between Utilization by Modality and Utilization by Product?

  • By Modality = How the training was delivered (Cohort, Standalone ILT, Self-Paced) — tells you format preference and which formats convert best.
  • By Product = Which Adobe product the training covered — tells you where learning investment is going.

Q: Why don’t the “Utilization by Product” numbers add up to my Total Enrollments?

An enrollment can span multiple products and get counted under each one it touches. So, product rows will sum to more than your total enrollment count.

Q: What does the Certifications table represent?

Formal Adobe certifications earned by learners. One learner can hold multiple certifications, so the certification count isn’t the same as a headcount of certified people.

This guide covers the Summary sheet only. A separate guide covers the Enrollment Details sheet.
