Transcript
Hello everyone, as discussed in the previous video, we can tweak the BMC pool size for XML form service in two ways, via the JMX console and also by tweaking JVM arguments. The drawback of JMX console is that once the server restarts, the changes are reset. In this video, we will be discussing how to permanently change the values by tweaking JVM arguments. Additionally, we would also be changing the reuse count value, which monitors how many times the XML form service processes can be reused. So, to start with, navigate to standalone COM file under JWAS bin directory. But please note that you must have the backup file before making any changes. Now, in the file, we will tweak the JVM arguments for XML form service. For example, I use a 4-core system, then I can tweak the BMC pool size value up to 8, and also changing the value of reuse count to 10,000, which is 5,000 by default. After this, save the file and the changes are made permanently. But remember, before making any changes, stop the JBoss server and then restart after the changes are being made. Additionally, we can also make the relevant changes via WebSphere application server. Log in to Admin Console and traverse to JVM under Server and Process Definition. Make the relevant changes under JVM arguments and restart the server to reflect the changes. So, this is how you can tweak the BMC pool size for XML form service. Thank you.
